"Along with many other parents, I sought all the gadgets I could to memorialize the huge event"
Ihave always loved photography but it's been on hiatus for a while now. Back in 2010, I had my daughter and along with many other parents, I sought all the gadgets I could to memorialize the huge event and all that would surely follow. So we saved up and for Christmas bought ourselves a fancy Nikon D7000.
Since then it's been an unproductive time, (photography wise). The camera just gets in the way of taking photos and when I do; I often find the images to be not what I thought I had taken. Mostly just not sharp enough. The user experience is just uninspiring and the results just as bad. Don't get me wrong the camera does many things and I'm sure it's great but it's a grind. I can edit an image with the best of them but would much rather do as little as possible.
So to the rescue comes the Fuji xt-1. I'm back. The user experience (visual experience) is phenomenal, I am getting sharp images. What's more the old school 35mm film SLR styling has me right at home. Just to top it off what I see is what I get. No desperate disappointment once the images make their way to the computer screen.
I could bang on and on about the pros of the xt-1 and the cons of the Nikon d7000, but Suffice to say I am back to black.
